fyeahkellyt: Here is a diagram to put the Japan Tsunami in perspective. If Chicago had a Tsunami that reached 6mi inland, the red area would be destroyed. The Blue area is the footprint of the Great Chicago Fire. —-EDIT—- I would like to clarify that while I was the one who originally posted this picture on Tumblr, I did not make it. My brother made the picture and put it on Facebook, where I saw it and decided to post it here on my blog. I had no idea that it was going to get so popular, so I didn’t bother crediting him at first. Now that people are starting to ask me about it, I wanted to credit my brother. Also, NBCChicago.com has published an article about this picture. Read the article here.
